With over three decades of expertise, Mr. Chandru Badrinarayanan has dedicated his career to shaping, expanding, and managing high-growth, high-margin enterprises within the financial services sector. He is an alum of INSEAD Business School, with over 38 years of experience across Ratings, Risk Management, Fixed Income, Banking, Indexes, ESG ratings, Climate Analytics, Sales and Manufacturing, with extensive experience encompassing investment services, ESG research, ESG strategy and climate change analysis across businesses, regulations, financial markets, analytics, credit ratings, and risk management.
Mr. Badrinarayanan has been an integral part of global firms like CRISIL and MSCI, contributing to the development of their operations while introducing new products and revenue channels in the South Asian markets.
During his tenure at global analytics firm, CRISIL, from 2001 to 2013, he was instrumental in advancing three non-regulatory high-growth, high-margin businesses focused on fixed-income research, risk solutions, and SME ratings for institutional stakeholders. At MSCI,a leading provider of critical decision support tools and services for the global investment community, he was instrumental in shaping the business in India, leading strategic plans and operations and promoting the adoption of ETFs and ESG ratings in the country. As the Managing Partner at ESG focused platform, ECube Investment services , he was involved in business outreach, corporate and investor engagement, risk management, shaping the consulting services and information technology.
Till recently, Mr.Badrinarayanan was the Chief Operating Officer of Blue Sky Analytics, a Climate-Tech Startup leveraging satellite and Artificial intelligence to provide climate related intelligence for better financial and strategic decisions. As an advocate for ESG ratings, he has collaborated with prominent global influencers, bodies, and organizations to analyze, predict, and mitigate ESG related risks.
