Mr. K.H. Patnaik, Chief Rating Officer at Brickwork Ratings, is a seasoned banker with nearly 40 years of experience in corporate credit, risk management, and banking operations. Before this role, he served as Chief General Manager at Canara Bank, where he managed about ₹3.5 lakh crore credit portfolio and led the Telangana Circle, overseeing about ₹1 lakh crore in business across 366 branches. Renowned for his customer-centric yet risk-conscious approach, Patnaik has played a key role in shaping a strong credit culture and ensuring consistent business performance. His expertise spans corporate, retail, MSME, and infrastructure finance, with a special focus on stressed asset management and sustainable finance. He has also served as Chairman of the Audit Committee for Canara Bank’s overseas subsidiary and as a board director for several bank affiliates. Academically, Patnaik holds an MBA in Finance, a master’s in philosophy, and professional credentials including CAIIB and Independent Director certification. He has undergone Leadership Development training at IIM Bengaluru organised by Banks Board Bureau (FSIB). At Brickwork Ratings, he applies his vast banking knowledge to enhance credit evaluation standards and strengthen institutional trust, continuing to be a driving force in the Indian financial ecosystem.
