Chief Compliance Officer

Santosh Shah is the Chief Compliance Officer at Brickwork Ratings, with over 22 years of experience spanning accounts, finance, banking, investment banking, corporate governance, secretarial, and compliance functions. For more than 15 years, he has specialised in regulatory compliance and governance, working closely with SEBI, RBI, IRDAI, MCA, and Listing Compliances. A qualified lawyer and Associate Company Secretary, Santosh has advised Indian and multinational clients on complex legal and regulatory matters, including SEBI, RBI/FEMA, IRDAI, and corporate governance frameworks. He has played a key role in managing private equity and venture capital transactions and conducting Corporate Due Diligences which are valued at over ₹1000 crores, ensuring regulatory compliance throughout each stage.

Santosh has held senior in-house positions, such as Company Secretary at Way2Wealth Group and Paramount Cosmetics and has worked with top law firms like J. Sagar Associates and Spice Route Legal, leading mandates in regulatory advisory, board/shareholder governance, and FDI. He has also championed compliance automation, investor relations, and internal policy development. Academically, he holds an LLB from Karnataka State Law University, a Master’s in Financial Management from Annamalai University, and is an Associate Member of ICSI. His strategic leadership continues to enhance Brickwork Ratings’ compliance and governance standards.
